Still nothing from Mrs. Dole.

I hope she doesn't think I'm just someone looking for attention.

steps taken

I have officially contact Elizabeth Dole, the senator of North Carolina. She was once part of the Red Cross and should be able to help me establish S4A an official foundation.

Briliant idea.

My mom and i were walking about the whole issue of, how am i going to get this to become a foundation. She mentioned that both Bono(the lead singer for the band U2), and our president Mr. Bush have been on the front lines when it comes to helping Africa. So my mom told me that i should start with going to the President. I'll let you all know how that goes.

We are on our way

I've been getting good feedback from people i have talked to about SKILZ 4 AFRICA. With time, i'm hoping to make it an official foundation. Any help is appreciated, even stuff about how to design the blog would be great(i'm still really new at this).

Thanks to all

My goal...for now

Alright, I have set a starting goal and I hope it's not too lofty. My hope is that we can raise $5,000 for the teenage kids in Africa who have AIDS.

Starting off

OK so I was sitting in church today and our pastor was talking about how "You can change the world". So i got to thinking, what if i really could do something to change the world? That's how this idea started. All of us have something we are skilled at, whether it be sports, the arts, or even being really smart. What if every one of us used our skills to help out those who are in need. For instance, i like to make jewelry and can make it pretty well. I have decided to sell all the jewelry that i make and all the money that i make off of it will go to this organization that I'm starting SKILZ 4 AFRICA.

Things people are doing to help

  • Writing
  • drawings
  • letting people know about the site
  • Making Jewelry
